Hello,
I have a server plex on a linux on a real server (VM on miniProliant), it worked fine until I could no longer access my server from my admin user on remote access (I can not access the network of my server before a certain time).
The strangest thing is that the other users I manage have yet access to my server (without administrative rights).
Do you know where this problem suddenly can come from?
And do you know how to fix it?
Ha. I have the same problem on my Roku. My Admin(with PIN) will not see my server. All the sub PIN-less managed users login and find the server with no issue at all. I don’t know why. Been that way for months.
I do hope that helps @fidelbas
I looked at the article but couldn’t find anything that would help me. I mean, I can connect, just not with the admin user.
@NewPlaza you are right the problem is more complex than that.
If i could directly access to my server, i could restart the plex server, but at the moment i only can access to the web interface of plex and not with my admin user.
Unfortunately I can not because even in the settings I no longer have a server so no more access to the logs or anything from the only administrative account.
You can get the logs the old fashion way. Navigate your folders and get them manually. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417 Follow the portion on “Manually Finding Log Files” to find your files. Zip them up and attach it here.
Apparently the problem came from my private network and more specifically from the addressing of my plex machine on my network, as soon as I settled down problem and restarted Plex, everything came back to normal.
