Hi everyone,
I have had some issue lately with my Plex server. It’s hosted on a ubuntu 18.10.
I didn’t change anything lately but I don’t know why I can’t see it on any player anymore. The players just says “Searching for server”.
I then tried to connect to the server directly by going : “webserveradress.com:32400/web/index.html#”
I was disconnected so the page asked me to connect to my account. I did it but the server still do not appear even if i’m connected directly to it…
Tried to check the log but couldn’t find anything. The logs ust say that the server is running :s
Does someone have any idea?
I have the exact same problem. I’ve been using Plex for several years on my laptop goes thru Roku to get to the TV. I had all of my libraries setup and working fine. I didn’t have to change anything for over a year. When I tried to bring up the dashboard it wouldn’t open and I got the “Searching for Server”. I downloaded the latest version 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476 and no difference at all.
My plex on the tv works fine, I just can’t open my dashboard to make any changes. Any thoughts?
Then create a TCP/IP tunnel via SSH (on windows, the command is : ssh -L 2080:localhost:32400 user@server.com).
Use a regular browser to connect to http://localhost:2080/web.
It will ask you to connect to your account and will add your server again.
