[SOLVED] Mac Plex Client's menu/overlay does not auto-minimise any more

I noticed the past month or 2 (last update or two..) that Plex Mac client’s menu (overlay?) doesn’t disappear/minimise anymore. I.e., it gets stuck and stays on screen. See screenshot as an example. That’ll stay on screen until you do a few tricks to get it to minimise again.

Previously, you’d play a video and after a second or two it minimises automatically. Now, it just stays there.

As a workaround, you’d need to minimise then maximise the player (top left chevron that points downwards), or click on the top white Plex bar, then hover the mouse over the player for a second or so, then move the mouse out of the player’s window.

But if you later come back to the player to pause/resume, you again end up in the same situation as above, needing to do these tricks to get the overlay to minimise again.. Very irritating..

To clarify a few points, after testing some more ,and talking to another that has the same issue (Mr itch…), if you hover the mouse and leave the plex player from left/right of the window then it’ll minimise successfully.

However, if you try to leave the plex player from the bottom (which is what I do), or alt+tab out, then the overlay won’t minimise. It’ll stay there.

This bug is still driving me nuts. Any chance of an eta, or at least confirmation you’re still going to fix it?

Still not fixed…

Any update on this, please? (I miss the days of desktop players on Github when you could track issues.) Until this is fixed, it’s back to PMP for me.

Sorry does not look like they figured out a fix for this yet.
