[SOLVED] Plex not finding any media in directories on Qnap

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Player Version#: 3.67.1
Qnap ts ec879u-rp

Hello,

While testing my new NAS I uploaded two files to a top-level folder [.mkv and .avi] and both films were found as well as correctly recognized. Tested that they streamed well to the local TV with a Plex client and decided to start the boring task of setting up the folders and subdirectories for actual usage.
Once those directories were created, moved the files into teh corresponding ones and removed the media from teh Plex library using the Plex remove option.

Now this is where it gets interesting. I have now added more media into those folders and while Plex happily reports running the scans it actually doesn’t add anything to teh library.
An empty library is teh current status and restarting the Plex server, fixing/optimising the db file via teh screen tools or even upgrading to the latest version of Plex hasn’t helped.

Any ideas how to fix this conundrum? Thanks in advance.

Solved:

Incorrectly used the CACHEDEV1_DATA paths as suggested by teh system, Those have now beeen corrected to the CACHEDEV2_DATA and all works so far…
