I’ve added about 20 new movies to my Plex server running on my QNAP TS-453D and all but one shows up in the media library. (The 1947 release of Dead Reckoning)
I’ve re-scanned the library several times but Plex still won’t see it.
I deleted the file from the library, forced a rescan then copied the movie back into the library and forced another rescan but still it’s not showing up. I then shutdown the Plex Server, deleted the movie from the library, restarted the Plex server and forced a scan but nope, still not there.
So, next I shutdown the Plex server, deleted the movie, restarted the QNAP, added the movie back into Plex library, started up Plex server and re-scanned the library again… still the movie will not show up in Plex!
The movie (.m4v format same as all the others in my library) plays just fine in VLC. To rule out bad encoding, I dumped the movie ISO into Handbrake (version 1.6.1 (2023012300)), and re-encoded using the same preset template as all the other movies in my library, shut down the Plex server, deleted the existing file, restarted the QNAP, added the new encoded movie to the library, restarted Plex server, forced a library rescan but still the movie is NOT showing up. I don’t know what else to try. Any suggestions??
And looking again at your Screen Capture, I stand corrected regarding the Multimedia share, since not the QNAP one, but instead one you created in your Home directory
