So I have had a plex server for couple years now. A few weeks ago a buddy said my server was no where to be found. I logged on today and tried to watch a movie and noticed that my server is nowhere to be found. When I log into Plex all of my stuff is gone and the only Media Server available is a buddy’s. I have been trying to just re-load a new server and library but can not get it to give me the option for a new server of my own?
When I go into settings I have no option for anything server related?
Here is the log I got last night after a clean uninstall and re-install of the latest version.
I have the exact same problem… i’ve tried everything. i’m going to try to go down a version and i’ll update you when i know something. my server keeps coming online and offline
So I uninstalled the program and re-installed. Same thing. No way to access settings for anything server related. I again uninstalled the program then went into the %Appdata% and deleted the Plex folder itself in there. Re-installed and same thing… No settings at all for the media server??
I am out of ideas at this point. Can someone please give me directions on how to uninstall/delete all the Plex files from this system and I will try to start over fresh?
OttoKerner,
Yes I tried logging in through App.Plex.Tv as well with same results. I will try and just remove everything and then start over again and see what happens.
Ok had a chance this morning to wipe Plex completely off my system and start over. It seemed to work, I had to follow the link given by OttoKerner and completely remove every trace of Plex from my Windows machine and do a full re-install. Then rebuild my Library’s in Plex once it is re-installed.
