[SOLVED] Shield 2015 8.0.1 hdmi passthrough issue

Why plex can’t play anymore DTS passthrough, kodi can.

i had reverted my console to 8.0.1, 8.0.2 had no passthrough working at all !!! even kodi

for now
dts-hd, dts-ma, Dobly AC3, atmos, …no passthrough

software not passthrough, for me is useless.

Which Shield Experience release are you running? 8.2?

Plex app version? https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/android

Check the setting for Passthrough in the Plex app on the Shield.

What Shield Experience are you running? Why the reversions? Trying to fix something with Plex or with something else?

In the Shield’s Display and Sound settings, under Advanced Sound, check Available Formats. It should be set to Auto.

FWIW, passthrough working fine on my system:

• 2015 Shield Pro <–HDMI–> Denon AVR-X4300H
• Shield experience 8.2 (worked with prior levels as well), Plex client 8.6.0.20351.

ok it works now with my audio extractor…buggy with my matrix video.
