Some devices can see Plex, others can't. Can you help?

Hi all,

I wonder if you could help me please as this is a real puzzle for me. I have a Synology DS118 running Plex. I have a mesh network and all devices are connected to the mesh, including the Synology.

On my PC: I can see Plex if using the IP, but if I use app.plex.tv it says “No content available”.

On my Phone, I can see Plex if using the App, but if I navigate to the IP URL via the web browser it says “No content Available”. If I use plex.tv it also says “No content available”.

On my Main TV, Plex used to work fine with the IP, but it no longer works, even if I put the IP address in. However, this TV can see the Synology and play movies directly if I use the in-built TV app, rather than Plex.

On my second TV, Plex DOES work with the IP address in.

So I seem to be getting different success depending on the device I am using and I’ve no idea why as I haven’t changed any of the settings. Also, Plex can’t download artwork anymore, so I suspect it can’t connect to the internet, but again I don’t know why?

If anyone could offer any help as to what to check it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Trumpy, I updated my Plex to the latest version. I also tweaked my connection settings and I appear to have most things working now. Although the plex.tv account still doesn’t work on my PC, I am able to connect my TVs to Plex as well as my computer via the IP, which is my main goal anyway. It is now able to get IMDB information too. I appreciate the help, thanks again.
