Some issues with Samsung beta player please solve them!

**Hello Plex,
After trying the player beta on my Samsung smart tv i noticed these bugs

  1. The app became slower.
  2. When the app i running and i switch to another app and back to plex it stuck on plex logo i have to close the app and reopen it to be working.
  3. After finishing episode there is no longer auto play the next episode.
  4. Subtitles now are only English i can not pick another language to choose the subtitle of my language i tried all the remote buttons still can not change the language.
  5. Fast forward and rewind no longer working with the remote buttons now i have to pause then drag and move to the time i want.
  6. Subtitles are skipping some lines.

I’m also having the same issues with rewinding/fast-forwarding (remote buttons not working as they used to) and subtitles skipping lines - seemingly at random. It also looks like subtitles might be fractionally delayed too.

I’m running app v5.1.2 on a Samsung UA40KU6000W

Should also mention the subtitle issues I’m seeing are with external SRT files (only type I’ve tested with) and it wasn’t an issue with previous versions

Can’t speak to all of the OPs points, but the two issues I’m experiencing are still present in v5.1.3. Any updates here Plex team?

Fore sure indeed the subtitles are skipping some lines here too when using SRT. Suddently subs are gone … after 10-15 second they pop-up again. They are “in sync” with the dialogues, that not a problem.

Apart from that I don’t have experienced anything strange on my 2016 UHD model.

I am running Samsung QN55Q60RAFXZA when I use the early access version 5.1.3 I try to play from my server and all it does is show buffering for a min and never loads. Then is says error with playback. I go back to version 5.1 and everything is good. I like the look of 5.1.3 but just need to be able to play from my server it would be great.

Ok so most of the problems gone now but still the subtitle skipping some lines some time and the styling shows as text for .srt

Ok subtitles not skipping lines any more still the styling issues exist i see thevstyling as text not as style

I’m still having the following issues. It’s been nearly a month since the original post, would be good if someone from Plex could acknowledge this thread.

  1. Subtitles skipping lines (apparently at random)
  2. Fast-forward and Rewind buttons on my remote are acting as +/- 30 seconds, not true fast-forward/rewind like they did in the old version of the app
