Some Movies not being added to the Plex Libuary

I have been downloading and adding to my Plex Library for over 9 months and recently a couple of movies I have download have not been included.
I’m using Anystreams and Keepstreams for downloading, and I have followed the exact same method of initially downloading to a Temp file on the server, then once the download is complete and the relevant poster etc is added to the file I then Move that file into the correct file on the server (Movie, TV Shows etc) that is linked to the plex software on the same server.
Is it possible to manually add to or import a link to the Movie/TV Series?

No, you cannot import / add external media sources.

For those files which PMS is not recognizing,

  1. Will they play in a “vlc” / “celluloid” / similar video player ?
  2. The naming ?
  3. Known not to have copyright/copy protection?

2. The naming ? - Exactly as all the other 1,000 + movies in my collection
3. Known not to have copyright/copy protection? - Not that I’m aware of and as they were downloaded, I’d have to assume there isn’t.

Usually, when Plex doesn’t find a movie I have installed, it’s because it is not listed in the TMDB site.

I have just checked that Site, and the movies that aren’t loading are all listed on their Website…

Ok. Do you have an “Other Videos” Library? If you copy the movie there, does it get detected.?
I had a weird problem with the Nigel Ng Haiyaa Special. I tried naming the file like TMDB listed it, wouldn’t get detected. I tried naming it likeTVDB listed it, still didn’t get detected. I eventually moved it to my “Other videos” directory and it finally showed up. I know this is not your ultimate goal, but it will, I think, at least verify that Plex thinks it is a real movie file.

Hi Napolij, Thanks for your response, I ended up setting up a new share on the NAS and added the movies into that share, then created the same as a new category on Plex, and Bingo the movies were added.
Still strange that it wouldn’t automatically load.
But once again thanks for your assistance
