Some of my movies are not loading the metadata, even after several weeks.
Do you notice the movies that don’t have a year in the 2nd line of their label?
Plex wasn’t able to match those and therefore couldn’t load any metadata.
How exactly did you name those files?
I checked IMDb and The Movie Database and couldn’t find a movie called “Blanche” released in 2019.
As for Frozen 2… the official title in those online databases is “Frozen II”, so the file name should be Frozen II (2019). This should be close enough to get a match… I suppose there’s multipel matching options with the same quality, so Plex couldn’t decide (from a computer’s point of view, “Frozen 2” is probably a close enough match to “Frozen II” as “Frozen”
There’s 2 ways to fix this:
- hover over the poster and select
Fix Matchin the context menu; select the correct entry and confirm - fix the file names and perform the “Plex Dance”
Plex Dance:
- move the files outside of the folder linked to Plex
- scan the library for updates
- empty trash / clear caches for that library
- return the file to the folder linked to the library
- scan the library one more time for updates.
