I’ve been using the Plex server on my ReadyNAS for years, and ran across a problem that I’m hoping someone has an easy solution for. The issue I’m having is there are some series I have archived from disk that will not be recognized by Plex when under a library set as series, can be seen in a library set as movies. Comparing the metadata on a file that isn’t recognized and one that is, they are identical in almost all respects (i.e. same codec, container etc.) except the one that works has the additional metadata of collection, season, track name and description, So I may be wrong, but I’m assuming that because the file is missing season info Plex is hiding the file since it isn’t a “series”. Anyone have any ideas or experience with this issue, and is there an easy workaround or fix?.
