Some songs have picture of artist, some do not. How do I choose? With screenshots

Hello,

I see that some songs have a picture of the artist even though there is no picture included in the metadata of the file:

Others have a picture of “something” included in the metadata and then that picture is shown instead.

How can I delete those images that is of something else and instead have Plex insert a picture of the artist as was done with Andre Rieu above?

Thank you trumpy81!

You’ve helped me once again

It is highly appreciated!

I was able to remove the cover by deleting it using Mp3tag.

It can be a time consuming process however since I need to find the relevant file in the correct folder, remove from the Plex Media folder, then open it using Mp3tag and delete the cover before I replace the file into the correct Plex Media folder.

It seems as if I open the music file directly within the Plex Media folder, and remove the cover art while the file is still where it should be, Plex do not see that the cover art is removed and hence do not replace it.

I have tried to refresh the metadata and scanned the library files but it will not fix the issue until I follow the procedure described above.

If you should happen to know why and how I can correct this I’d appreciate some tips on this as well

Yes, the Plex Dance seem to be necessary in this case.

Scanning the library and refreshing the metadata is not enough. Only after completely removing the “offending” file will it fix the issue.

Thank you again!

Have a good evening
