Some sporting events not showing up as being set to DVR

I have several sports and racing events that can be selected for recording but do not show up in the DVR Schedule. USFL and IndyCar are showing up, but there’s three NHL games tomorrow that are listed under sports on the episode guide that do not appear when selected for DVR. Same with Sunday’s NASCAR race. I can see it and select it but it doesn’t show on DVR Schedule. There’s also a show called Kansas City Week in Review that’s selected and does not appear as well.

I’m having the same issue with NBA games. They list as new in the guide and have the little icon showing they’re set to record, but they don’t show up in the DVR schedule. Just noticed this today.

TV shows that don’t have Season/Episode (S00/E00) labeling in the guide have to be set to new and repeats or it will think it has already recorded the program. It is suppose to append the date to make it unique but sometimes the data from the local station isn’t complete. Could also be the Team recording bug regressing.

tried setting new and repeats but still not seeing any future recordings. This Just started happening for me today.

Happening with the local wgn morning news. Other shows on same channel are recording/showing up in dvr schedule but the news won’t. Uninstalled the plex server and deleted/readded the dv-r.

also tried updating my hd home runs firmware, resetting the network/hardware. No change

Yeah I have that issue with the Kansas City Week in Review show. I tried setting the others to “new and repeats” and it still didn’t show them. I also just noticed I’m having the same problem Meehh is having. None of the local news shows I have selected are appearing in DVR Schedule either.

Also, except for the USFL, everything that appears has a listing in TheTVDB. It’s only stuff that doesn’t have a listing that isn’t appearing.

I am running 1.31.3.6868 and scheduled a repeating show but I won’t know till Monday to find out if it removes Tuesdays from the the schedule.

I suspect it is the change that came in with 1.31.1.6782 * (Scanner) Adds support for the Extend multi-episode format i.e. S01E01-02 (#14064).

If you delete or hide all the previously recorded episodes does the schedule change to record?

Just recreated it. Without deleting the scheduled recording that shows “No upcoming airings” schedule another.

Shouldn’t allow duplicates and the logs don’t say why it didn’t find it the first time.

This seemed to do the trick.

For some reason I couldn’t move the news files, kept telling me was in use by anther program even when closing the plex server(first time running into that with plex). So instead I changed the directory I had the news to a fresh folder and deleted the original directory. Went straight to my future recordings and the news was back! thanks for the temp fix Teibierius!

Just in time for the 7am news, recording right now, you rock!

recorded first hour fine, second hour started recording and seems to be going fine but now all future recordings are gone again already even the third hour today. Moved the first hour out of the directory and the news showed back in my future recordings.

That did it for me too. Had to delete the folder it was saving too, then go to troubleshooting and clean bundles and optimize database so it would have nothing already on the server related to the show, then removing and adding the show had it appearing in the DVR schedule. Haven’t had it actually record anything yet.

Looks like it’s only a temporary fix. It saved the first NHL game and started the second. But once it wrote the first game to the directory it no longer shows today’s third game as existing. It showed all three games before it started the first. So looks like it’s broken for Win7 32. Guess I’m upgrading my server.

It’s not a Win 7 32 only problem. Here’s someone with the latest 64bit patch and is having the same issues.

It is writing filenames with the wrong date/time in the name which will cause it to not record.

EX: WJZ Sunday News at 7AM (2019) - 1900-01-01 00 00 00 - WJZ Sunday News at 7AM.ts

yea realized this looking at the file names. New recordings don’t have the time, they were all 00 00 00.

I rolled back my plex server to update 1.31.1.6733, put all the older episodes back and recorded the news just fine today and everything is showing up in future recordings like it should.
