I have the remote access set to external port 50000 (was default but tried a different to try to fix.) I’m using a Netgear Orbi RBK50 with port forwarding turned on. Tested and working.
Problem: my 3 external users keeping having problems. They constantly get ‘Something went wrong playing your media. Please try again’. They’re using different devices so I don’t think it’s end user related.
We never have a problem on the LAN.
If I jump on Plex after they text me and start playing something, their error goes away…
It’s like Plex won’t ‘wake up’ for remote users. I turned off all sleep/drive spin down/ hibernation/ power saving settings…
Any ideas…???
