Song Skips when Casting

I noticed that recently when plying music, the songs skip when casting to a ChromeCast. The same song plays fine if played through Plex without casting, or when playing the file through a different media player, it’s only an issue when casting. I tried this from a mobile device (Android tablet) and from my PC and had issues casting from both.

I used to do this all the time with no issue. I started doing it again this past weekend, and most (if not all) of my songs were skipping. It is not a problem with video, only with my music. I cast TV shows and movies to my TV all the time with no issue. If it matters, most of my music is in FLAC format. I have not tested to see if the issue persists with other formats (I just now thought about that.)

Glad to hear that I am not the only one with this problem. Sometime in the last couple of months, I have been having the exact same problem. Music casts to my Chomecast Ultra skips several times during playback. This consistently occurs for each song and, and each time I attempt to play. The skips appears to be in the same locations on every song.
Strangely enough, I do not have the same issue with movies…

I have made sure all my devices are up-to-date.
Plex is at version: 1.13.9.5456
Chomecaset is at : 1.36.140318
My WD PR 4100 is at : 2.31.149

This situation is very frustrating as I have moved all 400 of my CD’s to Plex and packed them away.
