Hello dear forum users,
I have a Synology DS415+. When I did the sonic analysis for my (somewhat very large) music library years ago, it took months to finish the analysis. Since then, however, it has always been quite fast after adding new music. If there were a lot of new albums, “Sonic Analysis: Rebuilding indexes” sometimes took a few minutes, but not significantly longer.
Now I have the problem that PMS has been stuck at exactly this step for maybe 1-2 months (see picture):
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
What I have tried so far:
- downgrade from PMS 1.41.3 to 1.40.5, but the downgrade did nothing (of course I went back to 1.41.3)
- moved everything I added to the music library in the last three months out of the folder and rescanned, no change - it hangs at rebuilding indexes
- I ran the latest PlexDBRepair on the database, with the automatic option - no errors reported, no change
I’m at a bit of a loss. I don’t want to completely remove the library and recreate it, as it really takes months to scan my music collection on the small NAS.
