Sonos is playing, but not showing activity on dashboard

As of about 6PM tonight, PMS stopped showing any activity from the Sonos plex app.
Music playback is just fine, but I can’t see any activity, and the last played field is not getting updated in the songs that are played.

I have removed and re-added the Plex plugin for Sonos several times.

Haven’t seen this problem in a few weeks.

I’m definitely having the same problem for several weeks now. Playcounts never increment and the activity dashboard does not show the activity from Sonos.

Well here are the steps I followed to fix mine:

  1. Make sure that plex is logged in as a Plex Pass user. If it isn’t, then fix this.
  2. Remove the plex app from the sonos controller.
  3. Add the plex app back to the sonos controller.

I’ve don’t that repeatedly. That’s not the solution.

I need more details about what you are doing.
What version of the server are you running?
What version of the Sonos Plex adapter?
As much detail as you can about what you are trying to play will help too.

I have no idea how to ascertain the version of the Sonos Plex adapter?

My library is mostly FLAC but it does have some other formats like MP3. Everything plays just fine, but 99% if of the time this does not show in the Activity list and playcounts are not incremented. Sometimes (less frequently, when I start a new play session while something is already playing on Sonos (pick a new album, station or playlist), the last track played will show in the Activity list for ages while other tracks continue playing happily. Then that old track will disappear and there will be nothing.

All of this happens whether I’m playing Plex content directly in the Sonos app or when I cast from a client like Plexamp.

This issue is limited to Sonos (and casting to Sonos). Other clients work fine.

It’s going to be very difficult for me to help you because I am not running s1 software.

I recommend you start a new topic with all this for mation, and see if others have a similar config.

Ironically, for the first time in a couple of months, it’s working fine again now with no intervention on my part. Playcounts are doing what they are supposed to do and Tautulli sees activity just fine, too. I’ve updated the server a couple of times over the period that this problem has been around but it’s been a while since I’ve touched anything. Makes me wonder if something was updated on Sonos or there is some external dependency that is a part of it.
