Sonos Playcounts Not Updating (again)

Server Version#: 1.25.2.5319
Plexamp Player Version#: 3.8.2
Sonos OS: S2, Version: 13.4.1 (build 66423300)

It’s baaaack, my server is no longer reliably reporting active Sonos music track plays and associated playcounts are no longer updating. This started within the few days. No changes were made in the constellation of software (Plex, Player, Sonos).

Server Version 1.25.0.5246
Running on Debian Linux

I’m also not getting Sonos playcounts updating, it happened a few days ago, this ruins my playlists as I have a dynamic playlist which removes items that have been played. This happens from time to time although it’s been very good for a while, so I’m hoping whatever needs poking can be poked.

It’s also not remembering where the play point was, so if you’re listening to an audiobook for example it will start from the beginning every time you play it. This didn’t used to be the case, previously it would both update the playcount and also pick up from where it last left off.

Have just updated to Version 1.25.4.5426, no change, but I think it’s the external service that has to be fixed rather than the server?

Here’s a shot of the dashboard, it’s showing the outgoing music playback bandwidth usage that is happening right now via my sonos speakers, but there’s “nothing playing” according to the dashboard. This is the same as it’s been the last few times this has happened. Please can someone give whatever needs a tweak, a tweak. Thanks.

All working again now! I still don’t know what causes this but whoever gave whatever a kick, thanks for that.

Nah, it’s happening again on Version 1.25.4.5487. This has been flaky for years, oscillating between not working at all and not working reliably most of the time.

Aaaaannnd… still happening in 1.25.9.5721… chaps my rear a little bit, this, because it breaks smart playlists.
