Ok so I have my Plex server running on my gaming pc which is connected to my tv through my avr. Also connected to my avr is my firestick 4k. Just recently I downloaded a bunch of YouTube videos using 4kdownloader and added them to my server to play on the plex app on my firestick.
The videos are kids songs and are used to pacify the kids when cranky, so I have them in a separate folder. When playing the videos I’ll open the folder and just press the shuffle button. The videos are direct playing video and audio and play fine for the first 3 or 4 videos. Then I’ll get an error message saying the app encountered an error loading the video.
When this happens I’ll hit ok and press shuffle again and everything works fine for another 3 or 4 songs and then the sound will go out. The video will continue to play but without sound. When this happens the sound goes out completely on the firestick not just the plex app. The only way to fix this is to restart the firestick.
After the restart it’ll work fine again for 3 or 4 songs and then the sound goes out again. The error message only happens the first time and only after like a day then it’s just the sound issue. I’m confused if it’s the firestick, the plex app, or my avr doing this.
I’ve tried playing each video individually and they all play fine and the issue doesn’t happen with any particular song. It seems to happen after a certain amount of time or after a certain amount of videos play. And it’s really confusing how the sounds goes out completely on the entire firestick. All my apps on the firestick are soundless until the restart.
Any ideas what could be causing this and any ideas how to fix it? I’ve tried turning off the firesticks ability to sleep by using the adb fix to turn off the sleep timer thinking that might be what was causing the issue, but it’s still happening.
