Source for TV Show Content Rating

@BigWheel @drzoidberg33 been meaning to ask this for a while and this thread seems like a good opportunity.

With regard to TV certification ratings for episodes , how are they handled when TMDB is used as a overall rating source ?

Using UK certification as an example for Hawkeye it has a 12 certification at the show level but all episodes are TV-14. I’m guessing the episodes are failing back to the default US certification but would it not be better to fall back to the overall show certification ?

I now know what is happening. Hawkeye did not have a UK certification for it on TMDB. In plex at the show level it was getting the 12 certification from IMDB or TVDB and then failing back to TV-14 (US certification) at the episode level.

What I’ve done was add UK certification on TMDB and gave it 48 hrs to pass through the plex cache system. The episode certifications now match 12 as it exists on TMDB at the show level.
