Speedify - A little help please

If you are like me you cannot spend a great deal of money on bandwidth that would allow for the streaming service that Plex provides. Don't get me wrong I'm able to send over mp3's and some shows-but the quality is drastically reduced. I also live in the United States where our bandwidth connection is globally ranked at 32 (next to Slovenia)- The point being is that I tried to find a solution that wouldn't kill my budget. Adding a better upgraded connection would be 50$ and I'm locked in with other discounts. This is where I found speedify.

Speedify is a windows program that connects multiple internet connections together using channel bonding. This will allow me to push out movies and tv shows a little faster and allow for seamless watching experience for about 2$. Or so, I would have hoped.

I've contacted speedify and asked them a few questions about getting it to work with Plex. I have tried two ways. I have tried to map out 32400 and set it to automatic. According to the log files I sent speedify, Plex is still trying to latch on to 32400 even when its in automatic mode. The point being, I'm not allowed to access my server when I'm connected to Speedifys cloud servers.

Anyway, Speedify currently offers a 30-day trial. If anybody wanted to give it a shot and see if they could get it to work, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I think it could serve a purpose here in the community.

Are you asking for help with a technical issue or are you trying to sell something???   I am confused.

Not selling anything.

2nd paragraph is fairly clear. It's a technical issue.

tdhz77, did you figure out how to get Speedify to forward the port for the remote access to Plex when you are outside your network? I use Plex while traveling so the remote access with port forwarding is what I care about.

I did solve the issue for remote access port forwarding - the steps are below

  1. I confirmed that Plex was setup correctly and working with the Remote access available.
  2. I installed Speedify and set that up with my account and confirmed that Plex Remote access stopped working.
  3. I setup Speedify with port forwrarding to the port I had setup previously in Plex and in my router.
  4. I then went in and took off port forwarding from my router and saved the changes.
  5. Then I went back into the router and setup port forwarding again.
  6. I then returned to Plex and retried the remote connection and it connected and stayed connected.
  7. I have now accessed my Plex server from outside my network using just my cell phone data connection to test out the remote access.

I hope this helps
