Split merged TV shows?

Server v 1.11.0.4666
I have two shows that have been merged and are presented as two versions of each of their 6 episodes, rather than as two distinct shows. You can see from this cap that their filenames and paths are very distinct, yet somehow they are merged as two versions of the same show. The Merge and Split article says I should be able to split the two versions, then I could address the incorrect match, but so far I can’t find the Split functionality for TV shows.

click on the 3 dots on the media you are wanting split, the option should be there.

Instead of using the split, I’d rather verify the three things below.
Otherwise the issue might repeat itself when you add more episodes:

  1. Since these are mp4 files, these could have incorrect embedded metadata.
Go to Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
    Repeat the same under
    Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase

Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
+
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

  1. Verify that your series library points exactly to
    Volumes/R-Media/Shares/TVShows/Series
not one level above nor below that

  2. You might want to use 2018 in the folder name:
    Somebody Feed Phil (2018)
    https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=340885&lid=7

After doing the above, perform the Plex Dance.
Re-add each series separately.

Thanks for the input @Kraevin I tried both the web and iOS clients, but neither show this split functionality:

The split function appears only on the top level of the whole series. You are trying it at the episode level.

Thanks Otto, I was able to split it, but now can’t see how to change the match data. Will keep looking into it tonight.
