Splitting Files Apart - New Bug?

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058
Player Version#:Any eg iOS 6.6 or TVOS

I split apart some movie files, eg for director’s cut, 4K etc. Always worked great and would be listed in players as separate files with respective poster thumbnail etc.

Now noticing that split apart files are being grouped together but only on the client side eg Android, iOS/TVOS. This is different from when automatically grouped and you select the version to play. In this instance, the grouped files are being treated as if from a different locations, despite being from same server/directory/folder. So if I click on the movie title, Plex then asks me to choose from X number of locations (all of which are the same server).

Also noticed that the number of locations also corresponds to how many duplicates of the movie I have. So if I have 3 versions of a movie all in the same folder but which I have split apart, I get 3 locations.

If I view library on Server side, all the movie versions I have separated are all listed as separate files with corresponding poster art, updated titles eg Theatrical Cut, 4K etc. Not sure what server version this started happening on but does seem like a bug to me?
Can’t find anything in my current Synology setup that would be contributing to this. I do have a second Synology NAS server but currently disabled and have removed it as a server from Plex in the server drop down menu (though it did not have any movie files on it). Only my current Server listed as a Plex server option at present. Also, all current files are in the same location. Puzzled at this as never had this issue before.
