so i have a movie that I have both 4k and 1080p for, the 4k is mkv the 1080p file is mp4. the 4k mkv has the subtitles in the mkv works perfect on roku ! BUT, the mp4 1080p file the srt subtitles are out of sync when played from roku 
, if i play the 1080p mp4 from plex web app or iphone app works perfect !
is this is a known bug on roku ? sure sounds like it to me
OK i figured out the issue i hope someone from Plex is watching this thread, this is a bug. so it was so confusing and intermittent but if i have mp4 file with SRT sub title, and fast forward then stop, the subtitles are out of sync. sometimes i can just cancel and go back to the plex menu and then resume the movie then it works fine srt subtitle off the mp4 file is in sync, but sometimes i have to exit all the way out of plex app and start it again to get it to be in sync, if i just play the movie from beginning to end without pausing or fast fwd it works fine :). this is on the latest plex roku app and the plex roku preview app it does it on both.
