For some reason *.ASS embedded subtitles have stopped working. They used to work absolutely fine all of a sudden none play on any media. Any idea why or what can I do?

What is the burn subtitles settings set to?
Automatic. I haven’t changed a thing that’s what’s weird. My server can’t do any transcoding anyway (odroid n2+ running armbian ubuntu) so it’s all full direct play. Even if I open a movie I saw with ASS subtitles they just simply don’t work anymore.
Can you please enable logging in the LG app then grab the server logs after playing something on your LG that has ASS subs enabled but not working.
