ChuckPa, decided to test through my 3g network, from my mobile, and it worked despite of the fact that it shows remote access unavailable in Plex… So it seems to be only a cosmetic issue?

It’s more than cosmetic. People are having trouble with various clients. For example the web client.

Plex app from the LG Store on my TV is failing to connect locally unless I enable insecure connections on my server.

Tbf the entire LG content store is not letting me download anything, presumably because of the certificate issue, but it’s how I primarily access Plex and it’s been 24 hours. My local cert chain shows a valid cert chain with the root being ISRG Root X1.

I think your problem is related to this issue:

I have reset your Plex certificate.

What you may have (your ISRG X1) is supplemental.
It’s supplemental because Plex always uses its internal certficates for PMS-Plex.tv communication.

Your cert is supplemental works for external client → server.

Re the HTTP/HTTPS,

  1. Set Preferred for the secure requirement
  2. Setup the LAN IP of the TV as no-auth. (it won’t try to go https)

Close but no cigar, though I appreciate the effort. It’s a 2020 TV running webOS >5 (05.10.25), so not included in that list of affected services.

I am finding that certs which cross the Sept 30 boundary to be problematic.
