Standalone music app for Plex!

The Plex client app is wonderful - WONDERFUL - for movies and TV shows and such.  I know it can do music too.  However, i would really love if someone were to develop a standalone music-only app that can pull from my home library just like the movies app.  Something more single-purpose - like the Amazon Music App without the marketplace, or Tonido's iOS app on the desktop, that I can just run in the background and eat up less resources than the full Plex client.

Am I off base here?  I admit I haven't really explored the music side of Plex all that much - is this feature really needed/necessary, or does the music side of the Plex client do a good job of managing a monstrous music library and making it easy to navigate/listen to?

If they built it I will use it  :D

This isn't exactly what you're asking for... but I just thought I'd mention an alternative.  I use the Chrome app for my music player on my desktop, keeping it small and open on a second screen - makes for a great player, acts as an independent application and takes up very little resources.  Alternatively on Mac you could make a fluid app.

The Plex/Web UI is quite nice for music playback...
