Station not showing up in EPG (WTOO-CD) (FIXED)

Server Version#: 1.23.5.4862, on Debian Linux “Buster”.
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.61.2 and Plex android 8.20.1.26670 (caf51fef)
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomerun Flex 4K
Guide/Lineup name: Local Broadcast Listings (69 channels)
Using XMLTV?: No.
Channel number/Name: WTOO-CD , virtual channel 50, UHF Digital channel 22

My problem is that I can’t get any info on WTOO-CD from Plex’s buit-in EPG data. WTOO-CD is broadcast from a tower in Laurel Ridge state park in Cambria County, PA, and right next to it is a tower for WJAC-TV, which shows up without issue. I’d like for WTOO to be added to the EPG data.

Fortunately, it seems like they only broadcast channels that are available on other channels. So what I’ve done in the meantime is map those channels to other channels in the area that I can’t pick up. Titantv seems to indicate that the lineups seem to match. So I guess that’s a solution, even if it isn’t that good of a solution.

Still, I noticed that SchedulesDirect lacks that station too. I contacted them about it, and they said that they’d add it. Do you guys think you are better than SchedulesDirect and Jellyfin?

The Portage zip code’s (15946) lineup has it. Does it have all the channels you need? If so, you can delete and re-add your DVR using that zip code. If not, you could always just add it as a second lineup, just to map that channel. When adding your DVR you have the option to add another lineup:

As far as I know you can only do this when initially setting up the DVR, so you’ll need to delete the existing one first.

Huh. You’re right. It works with 15946.

I also figured out that “add channels from another lineup” thing, but now that I know the proper zip code to enter, I no longer need that trick.

No problem, glad it worked.

It’s weird how much variation there can be in the guide data for neighboring zip codes. I just picked four randomly from this list; Portage was the only of them which had it, but they were all slightly different.

Well, I’m just happy that someone else was stubborn enough to try a bunch of different zip codes. I sure wasn’t.
