I’m wondering too if this might be a network share issue. I have my Shield (Pro) folder mounted to a computer so I can do post processing of recordings. I think at the time of the recording I was accessing the internal shield folder.
I have the QuadHD tuner from Hauppage and deleted DVR all together as this issue recently became so prevalent. I’m not doing anything network related other than streaming my content back to a Roku or the iOS app. Everything recording wise worked great for months and months until Live TV for FireTV came along. That’s what it seems really drove things downhill for me.
Hey kinoCharlino - how about no transcoding? Plex fails to record (stops early) from the HDHR, yet I have no problem recording straight from the HDHR to file via cURL. At the moment all Plex offers me in re DVR services is a guide. Hardly worth the PlexPass $. I could just use the newspaper and set up cron jobs. You guys need to do better.
Failed recordings again last night. Prior to updating to 1.9, 1.8 server worked somewhat OK. The only channel I had a problem recording was CBS, every other channel seemed to do OK. Now with server 1.9 nothing is recording.
I record with Nvidia Shield Pro no transcoding directly to the internal shield drive.
Plex, I have been a loyal user of yours for years. You really have us at a disadvantage. The only reason I have Plex pass is for the DVR feature. This implementation is buggy at best. Charging us $5 a month for beta software that doesn’t work is not cool. i could see paying if it mostly worked but your core functionality, uh, recording shows, doesn’t work. You leave us no way of testing this for you without first paying you. Awesome, I have to pay to beta test.

I have this issue too. I can grab the logs the next time this happens (happened last night).
Corrupt files in the .grab folder, and failing DVR. Had reenabled it last night as my Schedules Direct sub is up, and wanted to see if I could save some $ and go with the Plex DVR, but seems I have to go back to NextPVR.

Think of it like we are helping fund the development of Plex, and in return we get to preview the software early. 
Other things I’ve noticed are Plex sometimes stating “Device not found. Ensure your device is powered on and connected to your network.” and Plex changing the IP address of the HDHR. The IP address of my HDHR is static in my network. There’s no reason for the device to 1) not be recognised and 2) the IP address to be anything other than what I tell Plex it is.

Confirmed here as well. My IP for my HDHomerun is static in my router under LAN setup. It is showing the correct IP in Plex though.

I had this happen to me for the first time last night. Basically nothing finished recording and they were all listed at 100%. I have more complete logs that I can provide, but I did find the following interesting. Once the show finished recording, it started setting negative timers for the show that just recorded. It did this for all the shows that failed and I never saw this behavior in the logs for shows that recorded correctly.

I am running into this problem… The PlexTranscoder.exe process IS running but just at 2MB/s so if you wait a really long time then the program will eventually show up in the recorded TV folder.

That doesn’t happen for me, but also I’m on a Mac so there’s a different set of systems running.

But CBS is still not recording with almost perfect signal strength

Linux Ubuntu 16.4 Server, HDHomerun Connect, Plex Version 1.9.5.4339
This showed up today, Plex DVR is showing 18 Active tuners out of 2 available, I have logs if you want. I checked the HDHome run directly It shows two open tuners nothing active. I do not know if this is connected, just trying to help. I have been having the 100% Complete bug.
I now have the 100% bug with installing 1.9.5. Never had any issues up to now.

Thanks for pointing this software. Besides, it seems to work inside Emby. This bug is very irritating since I used to buy an expensive (in my country) HDHomerun, just because it should have worked with Plex. I’m quite fed up and warn everybody : whatever is written on the Plex pages, DVR just doesn’t work. I’ve been a quite early lifepass adopter so as to support development but I cannot understand why such a core bug cannot be an absolute priority.
Emby is still young and probably needs a support. With one more week with a non-working Plex, I’ll ask my friends and familly to switch to Emby with me, so as to share libraries.
BTW, I have a 100% strength signal and my whole network is ethernet wired (no Wifi, no PLC). No hack. Everything is installed very regularilly on an up-to-date Windows 10.
Same issue here. Several recordings over the past couple of weeks showing 100% complete but did not record. I’m really sick of having to hand hold this server. It’s touted as a quality product but I’ve had nothing but problems since I actually paid for it.
All that said, I’m a software developer by day so I understand it’s tough out there. What logs out of the umpteen logs that exist are needed? Other server info:
Kaby Lake i5 6700
32 GB RAM
WIndows Server 2012R2
Plex 1.9.2.4285

All shows recorded Ok yesterday except for CBS (Blue Bloods only recording 40 minutes and Wisdom of the crowd erred out).

I’ve added a scheduled task to restart my Windows 10 PC each day at 4:30am. This seems to circumvent the issue for the most part.

I’ve been restarting my Ubunutu PC once a week and now twice a week in hopes it would improve things, but this bug still strikes randomly.
I rebooted yesterday around noon and it still botched all of the evening recordings.
