Still Can't Use External Players On Fire Tablets

Hi all. Trying to get an update on a Bug I reported back on April first, related to the inability of Plex for Fire OS to launch External Players for videos. Affects only Plex for Fire OS (Version 10.xx). Works well on all other devices. Any additional information or update to share regarding when this Bug would be fixed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have the same issue on my android 12 Tablet, i select external player, but it does not present me with the choice to pick an external player, it just asks me if i am sure, and then nothing, i have tried this on 2 android Tablets, same issue. I’ve cleared data, and cache, uninstalled and re-installed, no progress,

Thanks for the message. Yes, you described exactly the problem I had. But I only experience this issue with my Amazon Fire Tablets. Not with any other Android devices. Those other Android devices work as expected. Perhaps your problem is that you are using an updated version of Plex on an older version of Android, and the two are not compatible. Not sure.

Since reporting this bug back on April 1st, I was hoping one of the new beta or official releases would have fixed this by now. But no luck so far. I’ve been checking the Plex Forum periodically. Haven’t seen anything. Also tried all possible permission changes, etc. with the new releases since April. Still nothing.

@BigWheel, hi. You were the last Plex Employee to help with this. That was sometime over the Summer. Have you guys been able to isolate the problem yet? And if so, any ETA on a fix? Appreciate any insight you can pass along to us. Thanks!
