Stop future recordings on shows I no longer want

Server Version#: 1.41.1.9057

How can I delete a show that has been set to record All Episodes? There are a few shows someone set to record all and I can’t figure out how to stop them from recording. They don’t show up in “Recording Priority.” I verified the guide data shows them, and they don’t show to record.

But the series themselves still show recording and I can see the show in the future guide, and on the show screen I am unable to modify the recording setting.

You’ll want to verify the health of your database files:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/repair-a-corrupted-database/

More convenient and thorough with this: GitHub - ChuckPa/PlexDBRepair: Database repair utility for Plex Media Server databases

So I ran the tool, I did a check and it failed, did auto and it passed. I went back in and tried a check again and it passed, but I am still unable to delete these recordings.

I think I was a bit confused and the reason that the show is showing the record option is because there are upcoming shows in the guide.

What might be happening is that the person keeps recording these day of airing and doesn’t remember. I guess I will wait till Tuesday to see if the next show records.

What you also can try is to

  • shut down plex server
  • enter the folder with the databases
  • delete the .db file which has epg in its name. There might be several.

The side effects of this action could range from rather harmless (EPG needs to be refreshed [which happens anyway upon server startup]),
to not-so-harmless like loss of recording schedule. I don’t remember anymore.
Better save it as a last resort.
