after performing the suggested “library upgrade”, the new agent matches random shows as “sifir bir”. if I manually fix the match, a few days later another show gets matched under that name. None of them have any resemblance of that name, are not from the same year or in any other form related to it
I don’t think this is an actual feature suggestion but an issue with how your files are organized (or maybe some conflicting embedded metadata).
One potential root cause could be additional layers of folders in the naming schema required by Plex. Another root cause could be individual tv-show folders added directly to the library (instead of using the library-level folder). There’s a number of other scenarios coming to mind. Before we keep guessing… would you mind sharing some more details about your setup? – e.g.
- What version of the Plex Media Server have you installed and on what platform?
- What agent is your library using? (e.g.
Plex TV Series) - How are your tv-shows organized/named? You could share an example of your folder structure for one of the mismatched shows
- What folder(s) are linked to your library?
- Any embedded metadata in those files?

Once you have that right, perform the Plex Dance with every show that has been mismatched as “sifir bir”.
