Stopped Syncing

Plex has been working so well for so long…I need a refresher. Added a new MP3 file to a music folder but it will not sync to the server. Also, my playlist is intact on the server but my Plex app on iPhone now tells me there are no playlists.

Not sure what is happening. These features all worked fine a few days ago.

Thanks

I’m having the same issue on my iPhone app, and I have a Plex Pass

Wonder if the Aug. 9th update for iOS might be the cause?

I’ve tried logging out of both the server and the app but that didn’t help. No idea what to try. No changes have been made in my end but the app update and I increased my WiFi speed with my ISP.

Created a new playlist for testing purposes. Same result. Playlists appear and function on the server, iOS app says there are none.

Server will still not update when changes are made to to media source; external drive where music files reside.

Are these new known issues?

Thanks

iMac - OS Sierra Version 10.12.6 (16G29)
iPhone 7 - iOS Version 10.3.3

More info, more confusing. I find I can add a tune to a playlist from withing the iOS app. When I choose to add a tune to a playlist, the playlists are listed and the addition immediately shows up on the selected playlist on the PMS. Yet, playlists on my iPhone still says, “No Playlists”.

I am missing something. Probably something simple I just do not see.

Did you by any chance uninstall Plex on you’re mobile and reinstalled it? … If you did, you’ll have to sync the playlists again to the new device (check PlexWeb > Settings > Devices > iOS … 2 devices with the same name?).

I have had a similar problem, when uninstalling Plex on iOS. Reinstalling Plex for iOS will result in a new device in PMS. The previous synced playlist(s) isn’t mapped/linked to the new device.

Thanks but no, I have not done that. Up until this point I live by the saying, if it ain’t broke…

My iPhone is only listed once in Settings > Devices">PlexWeb > Settings > Devices > iOS.

Pretty sure I always just streamed my playlist from my iOS device and it did not reside on my phone. I do not know how to get the iPhone to see the playlists again.

Playlists are the only item on the dashboard that does not work on the iPhone. iOS Plex App says the playlists are synced but still cannot be accessed on the iPhone. What am I missing?

Can anyone advise please? I upgraded the PMS to Version 2.13.0. Signed out then back in and everything seems to show up on the dashboard but now, I am unable to access the Server in settings. Left to my own devices I seem to be making matters worse. I occasionally get a message that I have an unclaimed server but when I try to claim it, I get the server settings are unavailable message.

Improvement overnight. Server is back and up and running. Back to my original issue of missing playlists on the iOS app.

Anyone?

I’m still having the same issues too, I have deleted and re-installed my app, now I have lost everything and I can’ t sync anything as I do that through playlist’s. Super frustrating I have also tried most of the troubleshoot steps CGClark has tried with the same results. I have a Galaxy tab and the app works fine as does the play lists. Please someone help I want my music back :frowning:
