Synced content not available

My phone has stop displaying synced content as playable on the device even though the sync menu shows that playlists have been synced. This started happening around Sep 2nd.

My device: iPhone 6S

Steps taken:

  1. Open app, select user, enter passcode
  2. In the upper left, select my phone from the dropdown (versus my server)
  3. Select playlists
  4. “No playlists” message appears
  5. Select menu and “Sync”
  6. Status is “Sync complete, 37.9 GB available”. There are 12 playlists listed, each with a status of “Completed”.
  7. Press the “Sync” button for good measure. It spins for a second but returns to the same state.

This was working fine for me for months and only just recently stopped.

Any help is appreciated.

what about if look under the libraries (after selecting you phone not server) not under playlists ? eg Movies, TV Shows or Music libraries.

There are no options for Library folders. The only two options I now see are “Playlists” and “Camera Roll”.

You on v4.2 of Plex for IOS? Believe Plex devs are aware of this bug. If not fixed in 4.2 expect will be coming soon. Temp fix may be to click menu button (3 horizontal lines) twice but issue will return after a while. You are supposed to be seeing movie/TV/music libraries not just play lists and camera roll.

I noticed that the same issue only when my server is in “indirect” status (because my office firewall closes the required tcp port).

Thanks for the responses. I am using version 4.2. I ended up deleting the app and syncing the content again. Everything is working fine now.
