I am having an across the board issue with Plex, including desktop players, Plexamp and the Plex app. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and other long-form audio content, and have several libraries of content like this. They all have “store track progress” enabled and have worked relatively well in the past to both store my track progress and pick back up right where I left off. Recently I’ve been noticing an annoying trend, one which has plagued me before, albeit rarely, but now happens every time I pause my content for longer than five seconds.
In short, not only will Plex not store my progress any longer, nor bring me back to where I was when I play that content again, but every time I pause my content for longer than five seconds, the queue will immediately skip forward approximately two tracks and drop my progress. I use Plex constantly to listen long-form audio content, and so this is making my experience a nightmare. Does anyone have any ideas what might be happening here?
One nudge I got from another thread was that it might be because it was downloaded “offline” content I was listening to that was causing the problem, but I double-checked this possibility and it seems to be happening to all content across the board, including streamed content, offline content, on every library where I have long-form audio content and on every player including desktop players, Plexamp, and the Plex app on mobile. Help!
