Stored media not showing in "Home" though items are pinned

Recently I lost most of the “Home” content displaying. In the Plex Mac App I still see the “Home” I’m used to with Continue Watching, On Deck, Recently Added TV, Recently Added Movies, Recently Added Music. On my iOS and Apple TV devices I have Web Shows enabled as well and that is all that shows.

  • If I click on TV Shows I get told my server is unavailable and a button to retry connection.
  • If I search for a TV show by name I can find it and play the show.
  • If I click Movies I see Recently Released, Recently Added and a handful of other options blow that. The important part here is that I in fact have movies showing at all.
  • If I click on Music I see the same subsections as I do in Movies. Album arts and options for songs.

My Server is up to date and my iOS apps are too. I’ve not updated my Mac App in a while but I don’t plan to at this point. The Apple TVs have the same symptoms as my iOS devices.

I do have a large TV library in my server and can assure you there really is content in there.

Why have the iOS and Apple TV apps stopped showing my Home/On Deck and libraries properly? Is there something I need to change on my side?

My server is Cent OS with manual package updates. Most recently is was plexmediaserver-1.19.3.2764-ef515a800.x86_64.rpm.

Hmm… notification on my phone says my DB was found to be corrupt. :frowning:

To add to this, I’m able to see everything normally is I use the Web Client. It seems only the iOS/AppleTV apps have a problem viewing my “Home” and TV Shows library.

So in the end I fixed this by restoring to a previous version of the db. It was based on this guide but the repair failed. Not sure why, but repairing would not work.

# sqlite3 com.plexapp.plugins.library.db < dump_20200511_1026.sql
Error: near line 860120: database disk image is malformed
Error: near line 860142: database disk image is malformed
Error: near line 860154: database disk image is malformed

Thankfully I had four backups in the Databases folder and going back to an older one worked as expected.
