My Hisense TV with VIDAA OS cant play content from my plex server AGAIN. I am already pretty fed up with updates which break the app for my TV. This already happened twice in the past, till it miracously worked again. Of course without changing anything in der settings of the app or the server.
I read in varios spaces about this problem
i tried all the suggested varios settings with never allowing unencrypted connections, all variations of direct stream or direct play, ethernet and WIFI, resetting the TV, unplugging the TV for an hour, …
Why does it break again after it works?!
The server works fine - smartphone app, plex web intern and remote work all fine.
does anybody have a tip or an idea how to fix this?
It is so frustrating to find that an update just stops my Plex setup on Vidaa working.
This time the update has broken my connection to my own server (which works perfectly well through Roku, Web etc), but I can still access my friend’s server.
last saturday it (nearly) miraculously started to work again. That means I can watch content with the VIDAA plex app - just sometimes the unexpected error appears. Repeatedly trying to play something fixes the problem to play flawlessley.
what did I change in the settings compared to before? nothing. there was also no update - neither for the server nor the plex app. it is just so random and i cant understand. seriously what is this :S
