I’m trying to figure out if there is any device that supports streaming directly from my Plex server to a local device (re: speaker)? We use Android phones in the house and want to, more or less, be able to control media in different rooms via the phones. We still want to receive/make calls without our phones interrupting media playback, etc.
Is there anything that handles this? I’ve been searching across the web – seems like Google Chromecast Audio works, but still essentially will require casting. If I move to a different area of the house, etc, I may lose casting connection, and have phone calls, etc, interrupt what I’m doing. The goal is to be able to use the phone like a controller (or even use my computer in another room) to start music in the kitchen, outside, etc.
