Here is my latest. I have now transitioned back to 1.9.6.4429 There is no change to the symptom (didn’t expect there to be any). What I have learned though is that all versions above 1.8 act the same as far as my problem is concerned. When I record, occasionally a program will show up on Plex in the correct folder ready to watch. Most do not. Only after I reboot the PMS do they ALL show up. This is not an easy solution, but it is manageable if Plex does a fix SOON!
Any last thoughts on why the reboot? It works ALL the time. Clears the 100% circles and brings the files into the proper folder for viewing.

FWIW, I’ve got a very similar set-up (Homerun tuner and Ubuntu 16.04) and have experienced the same problem with live TV. Like the AmazingRando I opted to set up a cron job for a regular reboot (mine is every morning at around 4:30) and that seems to have fixed the problem.
After the next update, I’ll stop the reboots to see if the problem is fixed.
When he first mentioned that, I thought in my mind that he was rebooting the PC server that hosted Plex. I didn’t connect with rebooting the Plex Media Server. It seems that that’ll have to be the interim solution too. It doesn’t make it easy to watch shows in the evening that were recorded during the day unless I go to the PC and reboot Plex, but on a daily basis, it’ll work. Crazy how there’s no technical support to interface with. Can’t even be sure that their team reads any of this. Pretty poor way to run a company. Sure, it’s free… but the Plex Pass isn’t exactly cheap in a time when competition is rising and offering solutions that will eat away at their market share. Thanks for your input. Downloaded 1.9.7 today. Couldn’t find the notes describing what it fixed. Couldn’t feel any difference.

so, I added a scheduler to stop the PMS each night and relaunch. This has fixed the problem with not seeing my programs. They now all show up the next day…but… they are only partial programs! Random recording times. They all start correctly but last 6 minutes, 9 minutes, even 45 minutes or whatever, but never the entire length of the program. What the heck???
