Subs and Dubs version

Server Version#: 1.55.0.3278-c6164b3c

So I want to separate the anime I have by subs and dubs, but so far all of my research on how to do so has come down to “make two separate entries and have subs in one entry and dubs in the other” the result of which kinda looks clunky and ensures one entry just seems more polished than the other. Is there a way to have them in the same entry and just have a language option I can use? If not, is there intent to add such a feature?

If the files are the same length you could remux them with MKVToolNix – pick 1 of the video streams and include all audio/subtitles from the individual files. That should give you the option to pick audio/subtitles according to your liking.

You cannot have that across different files.
As of today there’s only very few approaches on how to deal with this split into different files. One is indeed splitting it into two separate shows (e.g. naming one “dubbed” and one “subbed”) or treat one of them as a local extra of the respective episode.
Plex have recently introduced multiple editions for movies but I’m not aware of a confirmation that will also find its way to other library types (e.g. tv-shows).
