Subscribe popup when trying to view on same network?!

Hi

Im aware of the new subscription needed for viewing content remotely, but thought the service would still be free when viewing on the same network?

however, im getting a subscribe popup even when viewing on my local wifi network. Am I missing something?!

This is happening on my desktop, but not on mobile

update: this seems to only be on safari (Mac) it still works fine on chrome)

Try in Safari unchecking “hide ip address from trackers,” Settings -> Privacy and see if it goes away. Safari will hide your ip and make it look like it’s outside your network. There may be a way to prevent it per website, but I haven’t looked it up. Or you can just use the Plex Mac app.

of course! thanks for that. Id forgotten there was even a Mac app to be honest as forgot it wasn’t on the App Store
