On Apple TV, when I watched movies with PlexConnect, the subtitle font would be Helvetica. But today, all of a sudden, it changed. Now subtitles have the same font as Plex Media Server. But I don't like it much on Apple TV. Do you have any idea why it should change suddenly? I haven't changed any settings. All videos have this font now.
Is there a chance to use a different font on PlexConnect?

Never mind, I found the font in Plex Media Server contents folder and changed it with a different one. Problem fixed.

The "text-shadow" of subtitle is too thick and dark now :( How can I change it? Since PlexConnect uses the exact same font settings of PMS, maybe this setting should be changed through PMS files, but couldn't find any way to do it.
Can't really I understand why all of a sudden PlexConnect font had to change and be the same with PMS. I'd appreciate any help :(
Subtitle encoder has updated from PMS 0.9.9 to 9.9.10.
If you hate current subtitle, try PMS 0.9.9.xx.
1) I personally recommend using SSA subtitle.
In SSA subtitle you could change the shadow style and other things. (Currently PMS 0.9.10~11 has the bug, ssa font's height is much smaller than AEGISUB's preview).
2) Try other font.
There should be a few font which has great readabiligy even with poor shadows).
I noticed that the reason of the change was because I changed subtitle renderer setting from auto to PMS. Because I had some subtitle sync issues. Now they're fixed with PMS rendering but this time the subtitle appearance is disturbing. I'd like to make the shadow softer. But Plex Media Server doesn't have any settings for subtitle appearance :( Right?
