Subtitle gone in PLEX but still there

The file and the subtitel file is there but PLEX only seeing one ENG sub
Not the Dutch one… it worked until last week… PLZ HELP

Example:

The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - 1080p WEB-DL - AG
The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - 1080p WEB-DL - AG.nl.srt
The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - NL
The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - 1080p WEB-DL - AG.en.srt

He is only seeing the EN file

Is it possible that the server only sees embedded subtitles? Look what it says on the Preplay page of the episode. ‘English - external’ or ‘English - internal’

Have you toggled ‘Local Media Assets’ off under
Settings - Server - Agents - TV Shows - TheTVDB ?
If so, switch it back on.

Do also verify it is ON as well under
Settings - Server - Agents - TV Shows - TheMoviedatabase
as well as
Settings - Server - Agents - TV Shows - Personal Media

Naming conventions could be a part of why it’s failing, too.

Try changing the names to this:

The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - (1080p WEB-DL - AG)
The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - (1080p WEB-DL - AG).nl.srt
The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - NL
The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban - (1080p WEB-DL - AG).en.srt

*Notice the added “(” and “)” in the file names above.

The Plex scanner expects a release ‘year’ in parentheses.
If you want to make the stuff in parentheses invisible to the Plex scanner, you must use angular brackets instead.
And make sure there are only 2 hyphens outside of the brackets.

So it would be The Blacklist - S04E01 - Esteban [1080p WEB-DL - AG]
