Subtitle Issue with WD Live

Hi All,

Been a long time trawler but this is my first post on the forums and looking for some help with an interesting conundrum.

Set up is as follows.

Plex Media Server running on a Synology DS413j. I use a WD Live TV to access the server and display to a Panasonic ST60. (Lack of native plex app on the TV)

I came across an issue when trying to get subtitles for Captain Phillips (yify torrent) to work using a local SRT file. All seems to be set up correctly, Plex recognises the subtitle file, naming convention is correct. Library has been "Forced Refreshed".

The English Subtitle is selectable in the drop down menu on the information page for Captain Phillips via Plex server.

When I play the movie the file via the WD LiveTV it throws a "Browser Error. Content not available" message.

If I access the Captain Phillips info page again via Plex Server and change the Subtitle drop down box to "Subtitle: None" the movie plays fine via WD Live but with non subtitles.

What's going on here? Is it an issue with Plex or the WD LiveTV?

I can reproduce the same error with any movie trying to use an external SRT/subtitle file.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

I too have a WD live that is playing from a DS413j

I found an issue playing an Asian film with English subtitles. As well as one random American film without subtitles. Same error as OP above.
