Subtitle offset controls in UI Plex for Windows

Server Version#:1.20.1.3252
Player Version#:1.19.0.1399

Ok, first I need to tell that I am very new to plex, coming from kodi, so all the specific terms used here might not be familiar to me.

I have the plex media server installed and what I think is the plex for windows player on a windows 10 pc/media center in the living room. I have the pms icon and a plex icon in start menu.

I have the psm running and click the plex icon.

When I start a movie I can open the toolbar to enable the subtitle but the controls for offset are not present. Only if I use the webapp opened from right-clicking the psm in system tray.

I have read a few posts regarding this and it seems I am suppose to use a remote or a keyboard to change the offset. This I find strange because this feature is already in the webapp so why is it not ported to the PFW? If we are assuming the user has a keyboard why can’t we assume there also is a mouse or maybe just a mouse and maybe the keyboard is tucked away in a draw…

For the effort put into plex being user friendly I sure have spend quite some time to figure out what was going on, from wondering if I had installed things wrong or set it up wrong or was it a bug I needed to wait for to get fixed. Quite a lot of reading and messing with settings have been spend, so I must respectfully say that this part was not particularly simple. And having a feature half implemented in the UI and the reset only accessible via keyboard when it is not written in a FAQ somewhere rather confusing.

So unless I have set it up wrong or it is a bug please can these offset controls be ported from the webapp?

Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

Thank you for taking your time read all of this.

Kind regards and thanks to the plex team for an otherwise very pleasant experiance.

As I understand it, Plex Player doesn’t support this atm.
Only the older Plex Media Player with its 10-foot UI has support for this. (Different app)

Ok, so for now I will assume my setup is correct and bug free.

And as I wrote the webapp have it. And if it is in the PMP then that should be even closer to have portable code, not accounting for code language and structure.

So where do I/we go from here?
