The subtitle size adjusting on new player on Apple TV 4K doesn’t seem to work as the subtitles are shown way too big.
Is there any chance you could add an option within the new app to add black background with certain opacity to subtitles?
The subtitle size has been fixed but will be out in the next version, not in the current one!
Regarding the color we’ll take that into account but I can’t promise anything

Subtitle size is still too big and the size option doesn’t work. Any news about that??

Have you tried the latest builds? It should work there, and the default font size should be smaller.
How do I try the latest build? I seem to have the latest Plex app version and still has the problem
This thread is tagged beta so if you don’t have the beta version (latest build) you won’t see the fix.
I m also in favour of putting the black background with opacity, the same style of native apple tv player.

Yes, please support the native look of the Apple TV subs with the semi-transparent background. I need to protect my OLED!
