I see this feature in my plex client players in Fire TV, but is it basically still in development or something? Or, maybe I don’t know how to use it? I see no adjustments regardless of how many 50 MS increments I do. Can someone advise on how to use this feature? Thanks.
That’s not a feature in the Plex app. Can you provide a screenshot of what you see?
it actually is part of Plex for Android 7.10.0
WHATS NEW:
- External subtitle offset adjustment support.
I’m just looking for a video with an external subtitle to check it out – haven’t used it myself
Edit: referring to the right line of the 7.10.0 release notes – I suppose it’s time for me to get to bed (thanks @anon18523487)
@bltplex: just tested the feature and it worked straight away.
- negative offset… the subtitles show early
- positive offset… the subtitles show late
Oh hah. I think you meant this one.
- External subtitle offset adjustment support.
Guess I missed that announcement, so I take back my previous comment. The feature is available and should be working. If not, please recreate then provide the log from the app.
v1.14.1.488 on a Qnap server. On my PC server, I don’t get this feature. I only see it on my Qnap server.
Not working for me. Does it have to be a certain type of subtitle file? I rewind the scene to see whether or not the subtitles shows up soon or late, and it still shows up at the exact incorrect time. 2000 ms + or - makes no difference.
Okay, it does work. I didn’t realize I needed to go into the 16,000’s. LOL!
Did you wait a little after setting the offset? There is a small delay (a fes seconds) before it goes into affect.
