My parents are signed up as friends to my movie collection . Despite their setting saying that subtitles should be off when logging in to their account via the computer, they still get the subtitles coming up and have to turn them off manually for each film
My subtitles on the server where the films are located are often and I don’t have this issue
Does anybody have any ideas cause I’m a bit confused thanks Now
With Apple TV whilst playing a title swipe down to show the settings for Playback. Disable Subtitles. You can turn on, turn off and search for Subs when required
Swipe up or Back to return to normal viewing.
Please note: There are other ways to prepare the File for no Subs by using MKVToolNix
Hello thank you for this but how do they turn of subtitles all the time rather than scroll down whilst the film is playing. That’s the bit I cant seam to sort
Thanks
Either guide them (for techy folks) or take over their account for them (for old folks) and go to “Account Settings” by clicking on the profile picture/icon in a browser and choosing “Account Settings”. Alternatively, click this link: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/account
Scroll down to the “Audio & Subtitle Settings” section and choose the default subtitle behavior for their account. Note that this only changes subtitle behavior for the currently logged in account, so don’t change this on your server and expect someone else’s account’s subtitles to change.
This setting changes how your account picks subtitles automatically when they are available. If your subtitles are flagged incorrectly in your video files, then you may still get unexpected subtitle behavior, so ensure your subtitles are flagged with the correct language code for Plex to pick up.
