Subtitles unavailable via Siri (Apple TV 4K, 5th gen.)

Server Version#: latest
Player Version#: Apple TV latest

When I ask Siri to turn on subtitles when viewing something in Plex, Siri always responds that she cannot because she cannot get a list of available subtitles languages (or something of this nature).

I can of course turn on subtitles using the Plex menu available during playback. However, I turn subtitles on and off a lot, and I would be most grateful if this could be fixed so that Siri can at least turn subtitles on and off (especially if there is just one available, which is often the case).

I am a senior software architect. So if the code for the Apple TV client is available, I’d be happy to tackle solving this myself, at least initially by just looking through the code and reporting what I think might be done (I don’t have Xcode installed anywhere and would rather not install it if necessary).

Just to be clear regarding versions:

Server: 1.40.2.8395
Apple TV 4K Client: 8.34 (8140)

lmao… what are you proposing here. That they just give you random internet stranger their source code?

Apologies, but I find your comment to be off-topic.

I was simply offering to help. Much of Plex is open source or based on open source software, and they have repositories at GitHub. But I have no idea what’s what there, Nor what specifically is Open sourced and what is not.

Please let us focus on the issue, namely, that subtitles cannot be controlled using Siri. Any assistance, I can provide to correct the shortcoming I am happy to offer.
